The Largest Fireworks Display in the State
The Fourth Annual Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival promises to be an incredible community event attended by more than 150,000 revelers from the metropolitan area. This year, the epic full-day affair is moving to Exchange Place on the waterfront in Jersey City, NJ. The space will allow revelers to enjoy 12 carnival rides, 26 food and drink vendors, the South House Beer Garden, and two stages featuring more than 15 acts, including Tim Kubart of NBCUniversal’s Sprout network and Jersey City’s own Kool & the Gang.
The Festival will culminate with an extraordinary pyrotechnic performance by Grucci set against a stunning backdrop of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the striking New York City skyline. Due to the large crowds, attendees are encouraged to download the Fireworks by Grucci app onto their smartphones, which will allow them to hear music set to the fireworks display.
All media wishing to cover the event must make a reservation with the City of Jersey City by emailing Press Secretary Jennifer Morrill at firstname.lastname@example.org with the names of the reporters and/or camera crews attending the Festival. Please indicate if you will be bringing a satellite truck or other vehicle. Once registered, you will receive a MEDIA parking pass and instructions on how and where to enter the park. Media credentials will be issued on-site in the media tent.
